Persistent Wins The NASSCOM Innovation Award 2008

I had written on December 19, 2008 in my post - “Powering Business Through Innovation” that we were the top 5 finalists for the NASSCOM Innovation Award.
I am very pleased to note that we have won the NASSCOM Innovation Award 2008!
I will be in the US to meet customers (from Feb 9 - Feb 20) and will miss this event completely. Siddhesh Bhobe (who is the Associate Vice President at Persistent Systems and leads the Enterprise Products and Solutions group) will be there to receive the award at the NASSCOM India Leadership Forum 2009 in Mumbai. He was responsible for the project and it is just fitting for him to receive it.

My heartiest congratulations to Persistent team & Siddhesh Bhobe on winning the NASSCOM innovation award 2008! This is very good news. I just read about it and was pleasantly surprised to see Persistent Systems on the list. Keep up the good work!

It’s been a great journey with Bridgestone, and after this work getting recognition in CK Prahalad’s book, this award has been the icing on the cake for my team.
Leonardo Da Vinci once said that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Our innovation for Bridgestone has really been towards providing extremely sophisticated technical solutions in the backend, packaged as an extremely simple application for non IT savvy end users.

I was at the NASSCOM event and attended both Siddesh’s presentation and C K Prahlad’s mention right after. As Siddesh mentioned at the event, and has reiterated in his comment, it was very interesting to hear about the customer - first, technology, and then the approach followed by Persistent.
Congratulations to Persistent and the team that made this happen!
